The Best Bodybuilding Supplement Available

When people are searching for ways to add muscle to their frames as quick as possible they often search around for the best bodybuilding supplement they can find.  Although the question is easy to ask, the answer doesn’t always seem to become self evident as easily.  To start, there are thousands of different supplements out on the market today and they all claim to the best which makes choosing one difficult to say the least.  Bodybuilding into itself is a very comprehensive and complicated en devour that very few people totally understand.  The reason for this is because the human body is complicated and we are are designed slightly different.

Each individuals bodybuilding goals are different so where a testosterone supplement may suite an older bodybuilder, it would be almost pointless to a teenage bodybuilder because they already produce sufficient amounts of testosterone.  So to break down the necessary steps in determining what the best bodybuilding supplement is, you must first ask yourself a few important questions:

  1. What do I struggle with? Building muscle? Losing weight? Maintaining energy levels?
  2. Am I really challenging myself in the gym?
  3. Do I really need a supplement to help me or am I just searching for the “magic pill”?

1.  What do I struggle the most with?

As I stated before, bodybuilding is complicated and is a very arduous road to travel down.  Bodybuilders go through several stages within their development so depending on the stage that they are in, the supplement should compliment that stage.  So for an example, if you are in a bulking up stage where you need to gain weight and put on more muscle, than a fat burner would be counter productive to your goal right?  So instead of fat burner, you would probably opt for a high calorie weight gainer so you can add on more size.  Conversely, if you are trying to lose weight a get cut up than a weight gainer would be counter intuitive to that goal and a fat burner would be exactly what you would need.  So begin by evaluating your current stage in the bodybuilding process and you will find that the best bodybuilding supplement for you can become more self-evident.

2.  Am I really challenging myself in the gym?

Believe it or not but I find that many people don’t have a clue about what they are doing in the weight room so before you choose the best bodybuilding supplement, you need to be sure that you are giving it your best in the gym.  You can only build muscle if you force your body to do so.  The human body adapts to its environment so if you create a easy lifting environment than your body will not see the need to adjust it.  You need to take yourself out of its comfort zone.  Lift heavy weight for fewer reps.  Lift lighter weight for more reps.  Whatever you are trying to acheive, i.e. your stage in bodybuilding, you need to put yourself in uncomfortable conditions and force your body to grow.  Now I don’t mean trying to lift 500lbs. when you can only lift 200lbs.  What I mean is if your 1 rep max on bench press is 200lbs. then lift 175lbs. for 5 reps. or lift 185lbs. for 3 reps.  Of course there is a strategy involved, but the main idea is this:  When you are lifting weights the last few reps. in a set should be difficult for you.  If they are not, you could be short changing yourself.

3.  Do I really need a supplement to help me or am I just searching for the “magic pill”?

This may seem like a silly question to some of you but in today’s modern age of instant gratification, many people just don’t want to put the time in to developing a well sculpted physique.  Many wannabe’s would much rather take a pill and not lift a finger in the gym as appose to the well trained athlete that put’s in their hard work everyday whether they are in the gym or not.  So for all of you wannabe’s who think a pill is the answer, Im sorry to say it doesn’t exist.  Supplements are only meant to assist you, like a training partner.  Your training partner will not lift the weights for you, you have to do it.  Your training partner will not make you eat the right foods, you’ve got to decide on that yourself.   And your supplement, however good it may be will not transform your body unless you put in some work.  This is also what’s known as a gut check.  Are you going to do what it takes or are you going to try to cut corners?  If you think you can cut corners without the hard work than the joke is on you.  Be in it for the long hall and remember when it comes to bodybuilding hard work always pays off.

So that being said, I want to leave you with some actual supplements that fit into certain category goals.  There are hundreds of decent supplements, but there a better ones than others so im going to give you my top 3 for each goal.  You can take my advice on these supplements or not, but if you do feel the need to search around, just be sure to ask yourself these important 3 questions before deciding.
